Air Fryer Grilled Cheese

Use your air fryer next time you have a craving for grilled cheese. The sandwich comes out perfectly crisp and crunchy.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices of bread sourdough or white bread work best
  • 2 tablespoons butter softened
  • 2-3 slices of American cheddar, or your favorite melting cheese
  • Optional add-ins: thin slices of tomato crispy bacon, or ham

Method
 

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice. Make sure to spread the butter evenly to the edges for maximum crispiness.
  3. Place 2-3 slices of cheese between the bread slices, with the buttered sides facing outward.
  4. Carefully place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
  5. Cook for 4 minutes, then open and check for desired brownness.
  6. If needed, cook for another 1-2 minutes until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
  7. Remove carefully as the sandwich will be hot!
  8. Let rest for 1 minute before cutting in half and serving.
