Ingredients
Method
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
- Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about ½-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- Place the patties in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't overlap. Depending on your air fryer size, you might need to cook in batches.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes for medium doneness, flipping halfway through.
- If adding cheese, place a slice on each burger during the last minute of cooking.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer - it should read 160°F (71°C) for food safety.
- Remove the hamburgers and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
- Meanwhile, you can toast the buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes if desired.
- Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
