Ingredients

  • 1 pound 80% lean ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Your favorite toppings cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined.
  3. Divide the meat mixture into 4 equal portions and form into patties about ½-inch thick. Use your thumb to make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  4. Place the patties in the air fryer basket, making sure they don't overlap. Depending on your air fryer size, you might need to cook in batches.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes for medium doneness, flipping halfway through.
  6. If adding cheese, place a slice on each burger during the last minute of cooking.
  7. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer - it should read 160°F (71°C) for food safety.
  8. Remove the hamburgers and let them rest for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Meanwhile, you can toast the buns in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes if desired.
  10. Assemble your burgers with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
