Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water hot
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 small sheet of aluminum foil

Method
 

  1. Line a microwave-safe mug or bowl with the aluminum foil, shiny side up.
  2. Pour 1 cup of water into the lined container.
  3. Heat in the microwave for 1–2 minutes until hot but not boiling.
  4. Carefully stir in the salt and baking soda until dissolved.
  5. Gently place your tarnished silver pieces into the solution, making sure they touch the foil.
  6. Let soak for up to 5 minutes; watch the tarnish disappear!
  7. Rinse thoroughly under warm water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
