Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and measure them out.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets.
  3. Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually mix dry ingredients into the butter mixture until just combined.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips gently with a spatula.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets.
  9. Bake for 8–10 minutes, until edges are golden and centers remain soft.
  10. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
