- Remove from heat; quickly stir in chocolate chips and marshmallow creme until smooth.
- Mix in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt to balance sweetness.
- Fold in chopped nuts if desired for added crunch.
- Pour the glossy fudge into the prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Let cool at room temperature, then chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing.
