  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips, ensuring every cookie is loaded with gooey chocolate.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until edges are golden brown but centers remain soft.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
