Ingredients
  

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper adjust to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter or oil for searing

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pat chicken breasts dry. Evenly rub the spice mix all over each piece.
  4. Heat butter or oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side, forming a dark, flavorful crust.
  5. Transfer seared chicken to the prepared baking sheet. Bake 10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing to lock in juices.
