- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the drained yams evenly in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Pour the sweet butter mixture over the yams, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Bake for 15 minutes, until the sugar mixture is bubbly and the yams are heated through.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle mini marshmallows on top, and return to oven for an additional 5–10 minutes, or until marshmallows are golden brown.
- Let rest for 2 minutes before serving to allow the glaze to set.
