- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a 9x13″ baking dish.
- In a large bowl, whisk together brown sugar, orange juice, melted butter, honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until smooth.
- Add the sliced yams to the syrup and toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer yams and syrup into the prepared baking dish, spreading into an even layer.
- Bake uncovered for 40 minutes, or until yams are tender and syrup is bubbly.
- Remove the dish from the oven. Sprinkle marshmallows over the hot yams in an even layer.
- Return to the oven and bake an additional 5–7 minutes, or until marshmallows are puffed and golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow the syrup to thicken.
