Method
- Gather all ingredients and preheat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Place one slice, buttered side down, on the skillet.
- Layer Swiss cheese evenly, then top with deli ham.
- Spread mustard or mayo on the other bread slice and place it on top, buttered side up.
- Grill for 2–3 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- Remove, slice diagonally, and serve hot.
