Cinnamon-Sugar Popcorn

This sweet popcorn is freshly popped, tossed with cinnamon, sugar, and melted butter, then baked in the oven for a tasty snack for kids and adults.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unpopped popcorn kernels
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • Cooking spray or a drizzle of oil optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a large pot over medium heat, add a splash of oil and the popcorn kernels. Cover and shake occasionally until popping slows.
  3. Pour popped popcorn into a big mixing bowl.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Drizzle melted butter over the hot popcorn and toss to coat.
  6. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mix over popcorn and toss until fully covered.
  7. Spread popcorn on the baking sheet and bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes, then break into clusters and serve.
