  • cup hot pepper sauce Frank's RedHot recommended
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • tablespoons white vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper optional, for extra heat
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste about ¼ teaspoon

Method
 

  1. Combine the hot pepper sauce, white vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, cayenne pepper (if using), garlic powder, and salt in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Reduce heat to low and add the butter, allowing it to melt slowly.
  4. Whisk continuously until the butter is completely incorporated and the sauce is smooth and emulsified.
  5. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before using.
