Ingredients
  

  • 2 ounces gin preferably London Dry
  • 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
  • ½ ounce simple syrup
  • Club soda to top
  • cups ice divided
  • Lemon wheel and maraschino cherry for garnish

Method
 

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with 1 cup of ice.
  2. Add the gin, fresh lemon juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.
  3. Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well-chilled.
  4. Fill a Collins glass (or tall highball glass) with the remaining 1½ cups of ice.
  5. Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass.
  6. Top with club soda, leaving about ½ inch of space at the top of the glass.
  7. Gently stir to combine the ingredients.
  8. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a maraschino cherry.
