Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or your favorite pasta

Method

  1. Gather all ingredients and measure out your olive oil, garlic, cream, and cheese.
  2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta until al dente, following package instructions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and golden.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring frequently. Allow the sauce to simmer gently for 2–3 minutes, letting it thicken.
  5. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Plate the pasta, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve immediately.
