- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a large bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, mayonnaise, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Gently fold in the shredded chicken and lightly steamed broccoli florets.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheddar cheese, saving the remaining 1/2 cup for topping.
- Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix the crushed crackers or breadcrumbs with melted butter.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the casserole, then top with the buttered cracker mixture.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, until the casserole is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
