Ingredients

  • 4 all-beef or turkey hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter or olive oil
  • Ketchup mustard, relish, sauerkraut, or other favorite toppings

Method

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Meanwhile, brush the buns lightly with melted butter or olive oil.
  2. Place buns in the air fryer, cut-side up, and toast for 2 minutes until lightly golden. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
  3. Score each hot dog with shallow diagonal slits to encourage even crisping.
  4. Arrange the hot dogs in a single layer in the basket. Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 4 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for uniform browning.
  5. Nestle the hot dogs into the toasted buns and pile on your favorite condiments.
