- Sprinkle sliced cucumbers and onions with a pinch of salt in a colander. Let them rest for 10 minutes to draw out excess water.
- Rinse the veggies under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, vinegar, minced garlic, dill, and sugar until smooth.
- Add the cucumbers and onions to the bowl; toss gently to coat in the creamy dressing.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let flavors meld.
- Give it a final stir, season with salt and pepper, and serve chilled.
