Method
- Gather all ingredients and prepare a silicone mold or line a small baking dish with parchment paper.
- In a heatproof bowl, gently melt the coconut oil over a pot of simmering water (double-boiler method) or in the microwave in 20-second intervals until just melted.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder until completely smooth with no lumps.
- Add the honey and whisk vigorously until fully incorporated. The mixture may initially resist combining but will eventually form a glossy chocolate mixture.
- Stir in the vanilla extract and sea salt (if using).
- Pour the chocolate mixture into your prepared mold or dish, spreading evenly.
- If adding toppings or mix-ins, sprinkle them over the chocolate now.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour until completely set.
- Once set, remove from the mold or cut into squares if using a dish.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
