Method
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a large nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter and let it melt until foaming.
- Place salmon fillets, skin side down, in the hot skillet. Cook undisturbed for 4–5 minutes until the edges turn golden brown.
- Flip each fillet carefully and cook an additional 2–3 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 125°F for medium-rare, or 145°F for well done.
- Remove from heat and let rest for 1 minute before serving.
