Method
- Spray the inside of the slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Gather all ingredients and pat the brisket dry.
- Place the brisket fat-side up in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the spice packet evenly over the meat.
- Arrange potatoes, carrots, and onion around the brisket. Pour in the beef broth, then sprinkle brown sugar and pepper.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 8 hours, until the meat is fork-tender and veggies are soft.
- Tuck cabbage wedges into the cooker, re-cover, and cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes until crisp-tender.
- Transfer brisket to a cutting board and let rest 10 minutes. Slice against the grain for the most tender bites.
- Arrange slices of brisket on a platter, surround with vegetables, and ladle cooking liquid over top.
