Ingredients
  

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients. Prep the garlic and grate the Parmesan.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter until it foams.
  3. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly.
  5. Reduce heat to low and whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a splash of milk or reserved pasta water.
  7. Serve immediately over fettuccine, chicken, or shrimp for a restaurant-quality dinner!
