Easy Homemade Tahini

Tahini is easy to make at home with this 2-ingredient recipe in just 15 minutes for a deliciously creamy toasted sesame seed paste that tastes better than store-bought.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 cup sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread the sesame seeds evenly on the baking sheet and toast for 8–10 minutes, stirring halfway until fragrant.
  3. Transfer seeds to a plate and let cool for 5 minutes.
  4. Place toasted seeds in a food processor and pulse until crumbly. Then process continuously, scraping sides, until smooth and creamy.
  5. Add 1–2 teaspoons of neutral oil if needed to adjust consistency. Season with salt if desired.
