- In a large microwave-safe bowl, whisk together glutinous rice flour, sugar, and water until smooth. Cover with plastic wrap.
- Microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir gently, then microwave another 1 minute until the mixture turns slightly translucent and sticky.
- Dust a work surface with cornstarch. Transfer the hot dough onto it and let it cool just enough to handle.
- Divide the dough into 8 pieces and roll each into a smooth ball.
- Flatten each ball, place 1 tablespoon of red bean paste in the center, then seal and reshape into a ball.
- Dust with more cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes to set before serving.
