This easy pork and sauerkraut recipe is made in the slow cooker with garlic, beer, mustard, and apple for a hearty meal perfect for cold weather.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 32 ounce jar sauerkraut, undrained
  • 2 pounds pork cubes
  • 12 ounces beer lager or ale
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion salt
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 apple halved

Method
 

  1. In your slow cooker, combine undrained sauerkraut, pork cubes, beer, minced garlic, onion salt, dry mustard, and dried dill.
  2. Press half an apple into the mixture to help keep ingredients submerged.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 6 hours, or until the pork is fork-tender.
  4. Gently stir before serving. Garnish with fresh dill or apple slices if desired.
