Waldorf salad is super simple to make with chunks of crisp apple, chopped celery, walnuts, and raisins in a creamy lemon and mayonnaise dressing.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium tart apples cored and diced
  • 2 stalks celery thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnuts roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional: Lettuce leaves for serving

Method
 

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise and fresh lemon juice until smooth and creamy.
  2. Place diced apples, sliced celery, walnuts, and raisins in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the lemon-mayo dressing over the fruit and nuts, gently tossing to coat without mushing the apples.
  4. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, adjusting for sweetness and tang.
  5. Chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
