- Preheat the oven to 400°F (205°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, and salt until smooth and pale.
- Stir in the flour to form a velvety paste.
- Gradually whisk in the milk and vanilla extract until lump-free.
- Pour the filling into the unbaked pie crust.
- Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350°F and bake 40 more minutes, or until set.
- Cool on a wire rack, then refrigerate before slicing.
