- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
- Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a pat of butter.
- Dip each bread slice in the batter, turning to coat both sides and letting excess drip off.
- Place soaked slices on the hot skillet. Cook 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer to a baking sheet and keep warm in a low oven while you finish the rest.
- Serve hot with maple syrup, fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
