Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Crack the eggs into the bowl. Add milk or water for fluffiness.
  3. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is pale yellow and slightly frothy.
  4. Stir in butter, salt, and pepper.
  5. Microwave on high for 30 seconds. Remove and stir to distribute heat evenly.
  6. Return to microwave for another 30–45 seconds until eggs are just set but still moist.
  7. Give one final stir, then transfer to a plate.
