- Place the grated cucumber in a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth. Sprinkle lightly with salt and let drain for 10 minutes to remove excess water.
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, and olive oil. Stir until smooth and creamy.
- Unwrap or press the cucumber to release any remaining liquid. Add the cucumber to the yogurt mixture and stir gently.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
- Before serving, give the tzatziki a quick stir. Adjust seasoning if needed.
- Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprig of dill for a beautiful presentation.
