Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook noodles if needed, then drain and set aside.
- Sauté onion in olive oil for 3 minutes, add garlic and cook 30 seconds.
- Add beef and sausage, cook until browned, drain fat.
- Stir in tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper; simmer 10 minutes.
- Whisk ricotta, egg, and Parmesan; season with salt and pepper.
- Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella three times in a 9×13 dish.
- Cover and bake 25 minutes, remove foil, broil 2–3 minutes until bubbly.
- Let rest 10 minutes before slicing.
