Method
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, peanut butter, and eggs. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- Gradually add the whole wheat flour and cinnamon (if using), mixing until a stiff dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add water a tablespoon at a time.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead until it comes together.
- Roll the dough to approximately ¼-inch thickness.
- Use cookie cutters to create your desired shapes and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges begin to turn golden brown and treats are firm.
- For extra-crunchy treats, turn off the oven after baking and leave treats inside as it cools for an additional 1-2 hours.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before serving to your eager pup.
