Homemade Poultry Seasoning

You don't have to buy poultry seasoning. DIY by combining herbs and spices you probably have on hand. You could save money, and a trip to the store!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons ground dried sage
  • teaspoons dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried marjoram
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary crushed
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon dried oregano
  • Pinch of salt optional

Method
 

  1. Gather all your dried herbs and spices on a clean countertop.
  2. In a small bowl, combine sage, thyme, marjoram, rosemary, black pepper, nutmeg, oregano, and salt.
  3. Use a whisk or small spoon to mix thoroughly until uniform in color and texture.
  4. Transfer the seasoning blend into an airtight container or spice jar.
  5. Label with the date and store in a cool, dark pantry for up to 6 months.
