Method
- Pour the apple cider into your slow cooker.
- Add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and allspice berries. If using, add the orange and apple slices.
- Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1 hour to allow the spices to infuse.
- Once heated through and fragrant, reduce to the warm setting to maintain temperature.
- Before serving, strain the cider to remove the whole spices if desired.
- Ladle into mugs and garnish with fresh apple slices or cinnamon sticks if desired.
