  • 1 gallon 64 fluid ounces apple cider
  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tablespoon whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon whole allspice berries
  • 1 orange sliced (optional)
  • 1 apple sliced (optional)

Method
 

  1. Pour the apple cider into your slow cooker.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and allspice berries. If using, add the orange and apple slices.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or on high for 1 hour to allow the spices to infuse.
  4. Once heated through and fragrant, reduce to the warm setting to maintain temperature.
  5. Before serving, strain the cider to remove the whole spices if desired.
