Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Method
 

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the apple cider vinegar, water, soy sauce, and brown sugar.
  2. Add the mustard powder, onion powder, garlic powder, ground cinnamon, and black pepper. Stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  3. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil, then immediately reduce heat to low.
  4. Simmer for about 45 seconds, just until the sauce becomes fragrant and slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature before transferring to a sterilized glass jar. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
