How to Cook Trout

Seasoned trout fillets are broiled to perfection and drizzled with a quick butter-lemon sauce for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 trout fillets about 6 oz each
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven’s broiler to high and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Pat the trout fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Place fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  4. Broil for 6-8 minutes or until the trout flakes easily and the top is lightly golden.
  5. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, swirl for about 1 minute until golden brown, then stir in lemon juice.
  6. Drizzle the warm lemon-butter sauce over the broiled trout and garnish with parsley.
