Jamie's Sweet and Easy Corn on the Cob

Corn on the cob is cooked in boiled water flavored with sugar and lemon juice to make the quickest, sweetest, juiciest corn.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 6 ears fresh corn husked

Method
 

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil.
  2. Stir in the white sugar and fresh lemon juice until fully dissolved.
  3. Carefully add the husked corn to the boiling water.
  4. Cook for 10–15 minutes, or until kernels are bright yellow and tender.
  5. Use tongs to remove the corn, drain well, and transfer to a serving platter.
