Ingredients

  • 4 6-ounce salmon fillets
  • ¼ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt & freshly ground black pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and gather all ingredients.
  2. Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels; season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth.
  4. Place salmon in a shallow baking dish. Pour the glaze over the fillets, turning them once to coat evenly.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. For an extra caramelized crust, broil for 2 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Spoon any remaining glaze over the fillets before serving.
