This easy Memphis dry rub is made with brown sugar, white sugar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder, plus a bit of cayenne pepper for a kick.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together brown sugar, white sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder until well combined.
  2. Add salt, cayenne pepper, and black pepper. Stir vigorously to ensure an even blend of sweet and spicy BBQ seasoning.
  3. Transfer the memphis rib rub to an airtight container. Label and store in a cool, dry place for up to 6 months.
