Ingredients
  

  • 1 box 15.25 oz yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
  • 8 oz frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup plus extra for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, oil, eggs, and water. Beat on low until moistened, then medium speed for 2 minutes.
  3. Press the batter evenly into the prepared pan to form a crust. Bake 12–15 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. While the crust cools, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk and beat until creamy.
  5. Fold the thawed whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until light and fluffy.
  6. Spread the creamy topping over the cooled crust. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a zigzag pattern.
  7. Cover and chill at least 1 hour. Slice into bars and serve chilled.
