Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet 2¼ tsp instant yeast
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup warm water 110°F / 43°C

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. Add the olive oil and warm water. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, stir until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a floured surface. Knead a few times until it comes together into a smooth ball—about 1 minute.
  5. Press the dough directly into the prepared pan, stretching it to the edges. If it resists, let it rest 2 minutes and try again.
  6. Top with your favorite sauce, cheese, and toppings. Keep the layer of toppings light for a crispy base.
  7. Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot.
