- Gather all ingredients and pat the onion rings dry with a paper towel—this helps the batter stick.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- In a second bowl, beat eggs with milk until smooth.
- Pour breadcrumbs into a third bowl.
- Dredge each onion ring first in the seasoned flour, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry onion rings in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer to a paper-towel–lined plate and sprinkle with salt.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
