Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1.25 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter melted

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar until combined.
  2. Pour in the milk and add the egg; stir until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Fold in the melted butter, mixing gently to keep the batter light and airy.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  5. Pour ΒΌ cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2 minutes.
  6. Flip carefully and cook the other side until golden brown, another 1–2 minutes.
  7. Transfer pancakes to a plate and repeat until all batter is used.
