  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Gather all ingredients and preheat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, egg, flour, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  3. Use your hands or a spoon to shape the mixture into 8 equal-sized patties.
  4. Add butter or oil to the skillet. Once hot, place patties in a single layer.
  5. Cook each side for 4–5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Transfer cakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
