Ingredients

  • 3 15 ounce cans cream-style corn
  • 1 sleeve saltine crackers about 1½ cups, crushed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the cream-style corn and black pepper until smooth and evenly blended.
  3. Pour the creamy corn mixture into the prepared dish, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the crushed crackers with melted butter, tossing until each crumb is coated.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the buttered cracker crumbs over the corn layer, creating a golden crust.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the topping is crisp and the casserole bubbles around the edges.
  7. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
