- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Position an oven rack in the center.
- Place a 13×9×2-inch baking dish in the hot oven and add the butter or margarine to melt.
- While the butter melts, season chicken pieces on all sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Carefully remove the baking dish, swirl to coat evenly, then arrange chicken skin-side up in a single layer.
- Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from oven, let rest 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
