- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus spears on the prepared sheet. Drizzle with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic evenly over the top.
- Season with salt and pepper. Use your hands to gently toss the spears, ensuring each is coated in oil and garlic.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the asparagus is tender-crisp and lightly browned at the tips.
- Remove from the oven, then immediately squeeze fresh lemon juice over the spears and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with lemon zest, if desired. Serve warm alongside roast leg of lamb, grilled fish, or your favorite main course.
