These pan-fried boneless pork chops take minutes to prepare and have great flavor.

Course: Dinner
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops 3/4-inch thick
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour for dredging
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder optional for extra flavor

Method

  1. Do not pat chops dry, so seasonings and flour will stick.
  2. Season each pork chop generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
  3. Place the flour in a shallow dish. Dredge each chop, shaking off excess flour for a light, even coating.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  5. Carefully lay the pork chops in the skillet and cook for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer reads 145°F.
  6. Transfer chops to a plate and let rest for 3 minutes to lock in juices.
  7. Serve hot with your favorite sides—think mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or a crisp green salad.
