- Pat each tilapia fillet dry with paper towels to ensure a crisp crust. Season both sides evenly with salt and pepper.
- Place a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil and let it shimmer (about 1 minute).
- Add the tilapia fillets to the pan in a single layer. Cook 3–4 minutes per side without moving until golden and flaky.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter around the fillets, and tilt the pan to spoon melted butter over the fish. Squeeze lemon juice on top.
- Transfer fillets to a plate, garnish with extra lemon wedges, and serve immediately.
