- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and gather all your ingredients.
- Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Open the canned peaches and pour them with their syrup directly into the baking dish, spreading them evenly.
- If using, sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg over the peaches for extra flavor.
- Evenly distribute the dry cake mix on top of the peaches, covering them completely.
- Arrange the thin butter slices evenly across the top of the dry cake mix.
- If using, sprinkle chopped pecans on top for a delightful crunch.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
