  • 1 pound large shrimp 21-25 count, shell-on
  • ½ cup water
  • ¼ cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Old Bay seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges for serving
  • Optional: melted butter for dipping

Method
 

  1. Prepare the shrimp by rinsing them under cold water. For easier eating, you can devein them while keeping the shells on.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine the water, vinegar, and Old Bay seasoning. Bring this mixture to a rolling boil over high heat.
  3. Once boiling, add the shrimp to the pot and stir quickly to ensure all shrimp are submerged in the seasoned liquid.
  4. Cover the pot with a lid and steam for approximately 2-3 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Be careful not to overcook!
  5. Remove the shrimp with tongs or drain through a colander.
  6. For an extra flavor boost, sprinkle additional Old Bay seasoning over the hot shrimp while they're still steaming.
  7. Transfer to a serving platter and garnish with lemon wedges.
